Speaking before me was a gastroenterologist, who had an impressive PowerPoint presentation, complete with full-color, high-resolution endoscopic images of inflamed and ulcerated digestive tracts.&amp;nbsp; His discussion concluded with a review of the various drugs that are used to suppress this inflammation, such as the latest generation of 5-amino-salicylates. The audience politely clapped and I was asked to take the stage. &lt;/p&gt;</description>
