Once again, I get to tell you, “I told you so.” This time about the Women’s Health Initiative’s heart intervention study. Many will probably be familiar with this study by now. For those who are not, I have summarized it below.

Although this story may come as a shock to people who believe in nutrition, “natural” products, whole foods and the beneficence of nature, it might very well be true. However, it may be equally misleading because there are two separate biological causes of heart diseases, and the story addresses only one.
